Infrastructure Ontario (IO) says five prequalified companies have been invited to respond to a request for proposals to build and finance the Orléans Health Hub project.
When completed, it will be a 96,000 sq. ft. structure in the eastern Ottawa suburban community, at the corner of Mer-Bleu Road and Brian Coburn Boulevard.
Prequalified companies are: Amico Affiliates, Buttcon Limited, EllisDon Corporation Inc., PCL Constructors Canada Inc. and Pomerleau Inc.
The five companies were selected based on criteria identified in a Request for Qualifications process that began in January 2018. Selection criteria included construction capability, experience, qualified personnel and financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and scope.
Teams will now begin preparing proposals that detail how they will deliver the project. Once submissions are received, IO and Hôpital Montfort will evaluate the proposals, select a preferred bidder and then negotiate a final contract. A successful bidder is expected to be announced in summer 2019. A fairness monitor will oversee the entire procurement process.
